I was born in Seattle and raised in Lake Oswego, a suburb of Portland, Oregon. At an early age my family instilled in me a sense of independence, creativity, a hard work. These values enabled me to blaze a trail and create a network in my small town, even at a very young age.In high school I rose the ranks and eventually was elected Senior Class President. In college, while studying Biology and getting my teaching license at the University of Colorado, I was both, a YoungLife Team lead and the Co-Founder of the Rocky Mountain Chapter for the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. On top of these extracurriculars, I worked as a waiter at Bob's Diner in Louisville, Colorado. I am a people person.. Making connections and building relationships that last come naturally to me. Put me in a room full of people and I thrive. These experiences also required team communication, collaboration, time management, high effort, and slow endurance. I look back very fondly on what I chose to devote my time to, in a season of life when there were endless choices and many wrong ones.Currently, I'm a Science Teacher at Marshall Middle School in San Diego Unified School District. Previous to this school assignment, I taught for 3 years in urban middle schools in Denver. There I learned a multitude of strategies to engage low-income students who faced trauma and stress outside of school. I also learned how to be tough and get back on my feet when lessons didn't go the way I planned. Failure is only an opportunity to learn and grow and try again. I am so excited and honored to bring these skills into a high pressure environment where I can work well within a team in the tech sales industry, selling services to businesses in order to increase productivity and/or the wellness of their customers. I am a warm presence on any team and I am now seeking ways in which I can utilize these skills and experiences into selling products and services that will help people find creative solutions to the problems they face.Send me an email, I would be happy to connect and share ideas!
