I work directly under District 1 Commissioner Cynthia Hall, analyzing and advising on matters that come before the Commission. The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) regulates the utilities, telecommunications, and motor carrier industries to ensure fair and reasonable rates, and to assure reasonable and adequate services to the public as provided by law.

Currently working in the Economic Justice Clinic at the University of New Mexico School of Law Clinical Programs

This was a contract position wherein I worked on the accounting side of settled hedges for swaps and derivatives. I worked heavily with Excel and Met Life's proprietary accounting software to ensure that reporting standards were met in a timely fashion every month. For my particular team I was mostly responsible for the Real Estate entries as well as internal reporting metrics.

This job was a blend of multiple roles and required heavy multi-tasking, time management, and vigilance. I took advantage of long-tenured employees and learned an incredible amount about the world of finance outside of the academic world. I had a multitude of responsibilities and it was important to separate the time pressure of the job from the coworkers, clients, and multi-million dollar trades that depended on me. -Worked in Prime Brokerage Control Department -Acted as a Client Service Representative for platinum hedge fund clients of Citigroup-Worked directly with hedge fund clients' middle offices to settle trades-Prevented failed trades to ensure trade flow-Generated daily reporting and analyzation of underlying reasons for fails and multi-million dollar variances in client trading accounts-Journal entries to book and correct fees and adjustments-Wrote macros in excel to save time with daily reporting-Set up and executed bank wires-Earned FINRA Series 7 licensure
