My job with the Iowa State Athletics Internship Program is to over see managing of the Suites, Sukup End Zone Club, and Jack Trice Club during football game days as well as Johnny's VIP Lounge during Men and Women's basketball game days. My managing duties include; Oversee football game day operations for premium seating, including 3000- Sukup End Zone Club, the 545-seat Jack Trice Club, and 46 suites- report facility issues; manage premium-seating staff; collaborate with the on-site catering company and provide guest assistance.The main event that I assited in coordinating at Hilton Coliseum is the Business and Engineering Career Fair. It consists of over 200 employers and over 4,000 students per day. I assist in event preparations, facility management, and event attendees' needs and help with event flow.

As a Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Intern at VT Industries, I worked directly with the corporate structure to complete several tasks given to me over a three-month period. I under took several tasks with little to no explanation about the tasks besides a general overview of the project and what was being looked for in the conclusion. Some of my tasks included, setting up and running several tests on future and existing products to help develop and maintain over a period of time. I established all leads necessary for the implementation of a water filtration and recycle system to help make VT Industries environmentally friendly while bringing down the cost associated with the amount of water the plant uses and the waste the water creates. I also worked on developing a testing procedure for VT Industries Quartz Countertop division to test vendor and competitor samples and whether they were up to industry standards.

In the summer through fall of 2013 I was the engineering intern for Jacobs Corporation in Harlan, Iowa. As an engineering intern, I was responsible for various undertakings assigned to me. Some of these tasks included day-to-day quality assurance check ups on parts being produced. I also worked on pop-up tasks such as designing a layout and ordering all new shelves for Jacob’s business headquarters, and many long-term projects. One project in particular I worked directly with the Vice-President in creating prototypes and finalizing the product for sale. However, my main project during my internship was to completely design, purchase, and produce a $75,000 machine to take the place of three existing machines. I worked directly with engineers, vendors, and everyone within the corporate ladder to ensure this machine was built to exact specifications and met every need of the business.
