Was able to assemble project solution and implement changes in time for installation in plant turnaround which was less than 10 weeks out from discovery time.Developed alarm management standards utilizing industry standard alarm management statistical analysis and strategies to evaluate and implement solutions for problem alarms. Held meetings for alarm management in all site plants to discuss site alarms and work with operations, electrical, controls, and engineering teams to develop and implement solutions for problems as they arose. Ongoing alarm management and site resource as work on alarm management and daily troubleshooting continues with part time work throughout school year.Improved on drawing redline skills and documentation of change procedures. Working in the AP and HIPS plant at the Selkirk Sabic site (formerly GE Plastics) to solve a variety of projects related to operating the plant efficiently and safely. Tasked with 16 unique projects and was able to provide deliverable for all. Project highlights included automating a daily excel task for PCL engineer, working with on site teams of engineers to improve tank farm Nitrogen systems, and creating a detailed project package for replacement of site silo instrumentation to be scheduled into the next available site shutdown. Learned about daily operation and project management at a chemical plant, including standard practices for documentation (P&ID, LDAR, Isometric), pressure regulator and tank nitrogen inbreathing/outbreathing sizing and calcs, as well as a variety of safety and general chemical engineering topics as present on site.
