• Lead and supervise environmental compliance monitoring for groundwater (low- and high- flow), surface water, stormwater, leachate, landfill gas, soil, and soil vapor following standard operating procedures and according to work plans.• Perform project management tasks including the scheduling and oversight of sampling events, proposal and budget preparation, and correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and laboratories. • Write technical reports for on-going compliance programs under the Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Rule, Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations (VSWMR), National Pollutant Elimination System (NPDES) permit program, and Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) regulatory requirements.• Responsible for implementing Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective measures (i.e. groundwater and soil vapor remediation) at four groundwater treatment facilities (GTF) and two vapor extraction systems (VES). Duties include sampling and reporting for Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) individual permit, operations and maintenance activities at the GTF and VES, and groundwater sampling of the compliance network. Other activities include vapor sampling and investigations, provide support managing process control sample data monthly for systems efficiency and hazardous waste management of spent carbon during carbon exchanges• Facilitate training for new-hire field geologists.• Oversight for well drilling/installation, development, and decommissioning.
