Team leader for the group responsible for forest management data and decision support tools within a mid-sized forest products firm and timberland owner in the southeast US. Decision support tools include coding published and tailored growth and yield tools in R and/or Python for use in decision support and accounting. These yields are also used for harvest scheduling in Remsoft products. Oversee company-wide management inventory program using cloud-based mobile collection tools, in-house cruise compilation methods. Coordinate yearly imagery collection and processing for GIS basemap and harvest delineation work and LiDAR data collections to address early plantation inventory needs. Support land acquisition work using growth and yield, geospatial and analytical skills. Support environmental/certification group with regard to carbon inventory and sustainability evidence for FSC and SFI audits. Non-IT lead for deployed Trimble LIMS, Cengea Forest and LRM (soon-to-be) systems. This includes creating and maintaining reports and data mining tools utilizing SQL code from Oracle and MS SQL Server databases as well as ODBC mining with R and Python.

Oversaw geospatial data acquisition and derivative creation for forestland management clients and special projects. Aided in forest inventory design and implementation, domestically and abroad. Processed and grew (using published and tailored growth and yield methods) forest inventory data and prepared other inputs for creating optimal harvest scheduling products for management and acquisition purposes.

Full-time, non-assistantship where I examined numerous remote sensing-related research topics involving the use of imagery at various resolutions, LiDAR and GIS data. I also created the primary spatial layers used in the statewide forest inventory efforts of the Mississippi Institute for Forest Inventory (MIFI). In addition, I assisting teaching and research by managing a GIS and remote sensing laboratory (SITL).

Assistantship position held while pursuing my Master's degree. As a part of this work I examined the use of LiDAR and high resolution imagery in inventorying Southern hardwood forest stands. I also served as a teaching assistant in a senior-level GIS/photogrammetry class.

This was a full-time summer intern-type position held in Monroe and Winnfield, LA, where I aided in numerous forestry field exercises, including cruise work and controlled burn support, as well as GIS data creation and management.

This was a full-time nine month internship where I aided in gathering data for a company wide Continuous Forest Inventory (CFI) program as well as painted boundary lines, cruised timber, and marked timber on predominantly upland and bottomland hardwood sites in Mississippi.
