Having been granted an attachment opportunity at Kenya Ports Authority's Inland Container Depot in the operations section, I gained valuable practical experience and was exposed to various procedures including: - Interfacing of imports and exports - Loading and offloading of cargo - Recording of incoming and outgoing containers - Verification and stripping at the yard and at the shed - Monitoring container movements at the control room - Merging of the delivery order - Handling of imports and exports - Working on CIYOS systems
