Contained costs to +/-5% of targeted projections.• Reduced labor budget by 20% by re-designing the technologist schedule and adding four 10 hour shifts and three 12 hour shifts where necessary while maintaining zero job loss. • Reduced labor costs by cross training, which reduced the need for per diem staff by 30%. • Restructured the workflow of the radiologists, increasing patient care time for techs. Created positive team interaction and relationships through better communication between the radiologists and techs. • Increased payment for disposal of old X-Ray film by introducing a new program and negotiating a contract that saved use of paid staff.
