I was responsible for making customer files print ready for a variety of different devices, including large format, digital and conventional offset print methods. Other duties included supervising the digital output operators, outputting customer proofs and helping the satellite stores to solve and correct problem files.

Position required me to oversee jobs, report on incoming projects, communicate with sales and clients, write up job instructions, look at proofs, coordinate packages to clients, etc. I also filled in where needed, from desktop to proofing. I was also responsible for the archiving of jobs and monitoring our servers.

I was a member of the desktop department, which involved preparing supplied files for print readiness. I also spent considerable time in the preflight, electronic imposition, plating, proofing and conventional stripping departments.
