Senior Program Manager (Engineering Enablement)
I managed the technical learning products produced by the L&D team for the client department, engineering. This was a mix of 'hands on' work where I was an individual contributor creating content, and acting as a product/program manager setting specifications and guiding the work of vendors and internal instructors producing content. - Project managed the creation of new class content- Hosted Ask-Me-Anything session with new hires, producer for Engineer Tech Talk series, Arranged and managed PMP CSPO and CSM training series- Public spokesperson and scriptwriter 7x 1min Instragram videos on Cruise technology; To ease patent examination of Cruise applications, delivered Cruise tech overview and Q&A for USPTO examiners annually 3xhttps://www.instagram.com/reel/CpBJxSOu3BM/?hl=en- Hypothesis testing: Cruise needed 24/7 incident response to be a core competency, but response quality varied. Interviewed engineers and managers to validate structural, knowledge & skill gaps. Resulted in a targeted & brief intervention, avoiding a mistargeted and overbroad eLearning (Saved learners 100s hrs, higher effectiveness)- Hired and oversaw training vendors to address strategic needs (e.g. project mgmt training); 16 contracts over time, worth ~$1.5M; Held high expectations, changed suppliers when warranted, always treated vendors with respect- Wrote javascript automation & integration (Google Apps Script) for L&D systems, as team spent too much time with rote tasks; e.g. Learning Mgmt System (LMS)->Gsheet dashboards; Linkedin API uploads; CSV employee data->GSheet->LMS API upload; Saved 100s hrs of L&D team time; dramatically reduced data entry delays, saving time for 1000s employees
