Details include developing an ISHB trapping/visual monitoring protocol, coordinating with project partners and local stakeholders to plan project implementation, and developing a… Show more Primary Focus:- Responsible for managing administrative and logistic requirements of IERCD's Natural Resource team in coordination with the Restoration Ecologist.- Responsible for managing a $600K grant awarded through CALFIRE for the management of Invasive Shot Hole Borer (ISHB) in San Bernardino County. Details include developing an ISHB trapping/visual monitoring protocol, coordinating with project partners and local stakeholders to plan project implementation, and developing a project planning map through ArcGIS to display potential monitoring locations. Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:- Review regulatory agency permits and requirements and coordinate with project partners to assist with navigating the compensatory mitigation process and to ensure that performance standards of mitigation site are met.- Responsible for processing monitoring data and developing annual summary reports to regulatory agencies such as CDFW, USACE, USFWS, and RWQCB.- Responsible for managing the In-Lieu Fee (ILF) Mitigation Program for the IERCD including identification of properties with appropriate aquatic resources, coordination with property owners to negotiate sale or conveyance of conservation easements, processing and tracking of ILF credit sales, and consulting with ILF inter-agency review team which is comprised of representatives from USACE, RWQCB, and US EPA.- Consult with project partners and representatives from local and city governments to assist project facilitation, generation of services agreements, and execution of right of entry agreements and encroachment permits.- As the sole IERCD employee with chainsaw certification, provide in-office and field trainings on safe operation and maintenance of chainsaws and techniques involved with felling, bucking, and limbing trees.- Represent the IERCD with integrity and professionalism.
