Worked with faculty in the College of Business Administration and the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources on research projects focused on agribusiness. Primary focus on market research of small-scale wind energy applications with an emphasis on irrigation equipment. Developed a policy and cost-benefit analysis to identify the environment in which small-scale wind energy is sustainable. Worked with the Nebraska Energy Office on the state energy plan and developed a white paper briefing on the opportunities for Nebraska regarding renewable energy.

Beloit, Kansas

Spent time with several different merchandisers to gain a more thorough knowledge of not only how grain is bought and sold, but also the logistics needed to meet commitments. This involved working with merchandisers/originators who dealt with producers and those who dealt with commercial accounts. Worked at several elevator locations to see how both country elevators and terminal elevators function. Developed a wheat sampling program to assist country elevators in keeping track of quality of inventory and to assist in grading procedures.
