Collin Vargo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of QuickTutor, a privately held education technology company initially based in Michigan.The company's flagship product — the QuickTutor mobile iOS app, widely known for kick-starting the 'knowledge-sharing economy' — enables anyone, anywhere to learn or teach anything, anytime — in-person or online and in real-time. Following an enthusiastically received beta launch in the Fall of 2018, QuickTutor released its official first version, aptly titled 'QuickTutor 2.0,' in April 2019.QuickTutor 3.0 is set to release on all Apple Platforms in Summer 2023 — as the company prepares to raise its Series A funding round — with its primary focuses being releasing on the Google Play and Windows App Stores as well as expanding internationally to Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and beyond in 2024.

In Summer 2017 — I had the privilege of being a personal care assistant for a nonverbal adult male with special needs. While this experience was brief — it was transformative and led to significant personal and professional growth.My main responsibilities were to facilitate daily activities while ensuring his physical safety and well-being, providing steadfast support while still encouraging self-reliance, and helping to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere — all with the goal of improving his overall quality of life.

From July 2016 to August 2017, I had the honor of serving as a caregiver for a remarkable 98-year-old woman, originally from Austria, named Herta. I assisted Herta in completing everyday tasks, maintaining her hygiene, keeping a clean and safe living environment, and taking her medications properly. Additionally, I was tasked with providing Herta with companionship and emotional support due to her inability to travel and socialize - but I would have done it for free due to how much I enjoyed chatting with her. Herta and I often watched classic movies together and shared heartfelt discussions of life, love, purpose, and happiness, which made me enjoy my time with her and created a warm and fostering atmosphere for both of us. Herta’s immense wisdom had a significant positive impact on me as a young adult — and I will always cherish the moments we shared. Reflecting on my experience as a caregiver for Herta, I am incredibly grateful for the time we spent with each other and the great privilege of positively impacting her life, improving her well-being, and providing her with support and comfort during her later years.
