Lead the Square for Restaurants Mobile POS team as the DRI while the team did not have a manager. Worked closely with both product and design stakeholders as well as cross-functional teams to accelerate the Mobile POS development and release.Wrote mission critical features for Restaurants POS.Mentored junior engineers, helping level up and grow their skills.Improved processes at both an org and team level to allow engineers to get more done.

Overseeing all development efforts relating to the Delta X-Ray In Flight Entertainment System project. This consists of three functional teams, totaling 25 individual contributors. Our team forms the backbone of this $10M/year project for GTRI.

Mentored the Android team to grow from junior engineers with little understanding of the specifics of coding both for Android and mobile in general to a strongly capable Android team. They are now competent in proper separation of concerns, including view binding, view models, reusable services, package by feature, modularization, asynchronous programming, reactive programming, and dependency injection. Oversaw major refactor touching every service on the Android component of the Delta X-Ray In Flight Entertainment program. This consisted of updating it to follow modern design principles revolving around reactive programming (RxJava), proper separation of concerns of services, as well as asynchronous message passing in order to decouple internal components. Additionally, this refactor covered converting all Android repositories to Kotlin.Lead the design effort for the passenger experience of the In Flight Entertainment system, personally creating a majority of total views used in the app, as well as overseeing junior engineer's development and design of the remaining minority.Successfully Integrated three third party applications onto our platform. This required building out support for third party applications, as previously the system had zero support for it. This required both design and coordination across multiple functional teams as well as aggressive client engagement to guarantee high code quality on the platform.
