Reporting to the Head of Revenues, responsible for the perfomance of the Council Tax Deprtment. Helped the service to achieve record Council Tax collection rates, improve telephone performance for increased customer service and improved correspondence turnaround times

Responsible for managing projects to improve service performance in terms of both quality and efficiency. Working with colleagues and partners to identify issues and areas for improvement then possible solutions. Provide an analysis of the options, with business cases and manage the change through to implementation.

My primary function is to represent the Council in applications for Liability Orders at the Magistrates Court. This requires good legislative and case law knowledge. I also check the accuracy of cases prepared by staff to go for committal hearings and am responsible for the dealing with all external insolvencies. I have continued my work as Communications Representative, organizing fundraising and social activities and staff entertainment raising over £2000 for various charities to date. Having succesfully completed a Team Leader Development Course I also provide cover as a team manager for the past 12 months, managing staff and workloads, performing 1-1's and appraisals and disciplinary proceedings where necessary. Finally I have also represented the business when making presentations to other councils going through the TUPE process

Assisting in the collection of unpaid council tax. Involved in several projects, and was also the communications representative for the Charnwood site.
