Studied political science on the political strategy track, and minored in civic engagement to build a career in public service and politics. Throughout school I was involved in the Political affairs society, the Peace and Conflict Resolution Society, as officers. I also formed a new club called, Provo Connections, to help more students be involved in Provo. I also was an executive director of a program in the office of service learning on campus.

Councilwoman Santiago hired me as her personal intern after I demonstrated a desire to be more involved within Provo's city government. I researched topics of interest for her, prepared memos and reports on things like parking, constituency communication, etc. I also pushed for ways to strengthen the town-gown relationship between Provo and BYU.

Brigham Young University

Was a part of a team of BYU students who led and created the Utah Colleges Exit Poll for the 2016 general election. We crafted our own poll, setup an online polling survey, recruited and trained volunteers from BYU and nearly all of Utah's major universities, oversaw a large phone survey operation, and I personally oversaw polling stations in Saratoga Springs, Lehi, and American Fork on election day. I then entered research to a social sciences research conference on the gender and the vote in Utah.
