I started my career in Engineering at Shannon MRO in August 1999 but had some gaps during the first couple of years as I was keen to travel. Having spent some time in construction jobs in the US, I returned to a permanent position in Shannon MRO in January 2002 and have remained with the company since then. 2002 was an interesting period in the company as the move was made from the SRS Hangar in Shannon to what is now the Atlantic Aviation Group hangar. Shannon MRO was bought in 2004 by an Icelandic investor to become Air Atlanta Aero Engineering. Under Icelandic ownership, the maintenance capabilities extended to include Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft types and the level of third party maintenance activity increased significantly. Subsequently it was bought by Transaero Airlines in 2012 and then by Patrick Jordan in 2015 to form Atlantic Aviation Group. Show less
