I am currently employed by Roughan & O' Donovan as a Project Technician, and am involved in the design of a number of National Primary Road schemes throughout Ireland. I have become a Road Safety Audit Team Leader fully accredited by the National Roads Authority following a two-week course in accident investigation and prevention. I have completed over 210 Road Safety Audits in Ireland to date. I have a good working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Traffic Signs Manual, Traffic Management Guidelines, Road Safety Audit Guidelines, Cycletrack Design Guidelines, Designing for Deliveries, Road Geometry Handbook and the Manual for Streets amongst other documents. I have also keen report writing skills and regularly write detailed technical reports.I regularly produce detailed traffic, transportation and junction design drawings for various projects around the country using AutoCAD drafting software. In 2010, I initiated gaining ISO 9001; 2008 accreditation and a new web-site for ILTP Consulting. I then project managed the delivery of the ISO 9001; 2008 quality management system and the web-site for the company. ILTP gained ISO accreditation after the audit process in November 2010. This was done without any outside guidance or assistance. In all of these projects, I have fulfilled key roles of meeting Clients Planning Authorities and coordinating with other consultancies, report writing, junction design, signal specification, data analysis, design calculations, production of detailed drawings, general arrangement and standard detail drawings. I can also carry out audits for improving access for mobility / disability users on public roads.I have gained valuable experience in providing fee proposals, preparing tender documents and in dealing with invoices and accounts for projects varying in size.
