At Zillow Home Loans, I initiated transformative changes, driving improvements in processes, systems and team dynamics. Achieved elite DORA status for Deployment Frequency and Lead Time to Change reflecting a pivotal boost in deployment efficiency, delivering value to customers and responsiveness to market conditions.❖ Oversaw the final stages of a large scale Loan Officer portal enhancement, overseeing a team of 20-30 contractors and ensuring timely delivery in partnership with multiple groups across ZHL. Achieved OKR of increasing loan officer talk time by enabling multiple customer scenario creation, streamlined processes and enhanced customer interactions.❖ Drove a fundamental change in QA mentality by implementing comprehensive automation, advancing developer accountability for early-stage testing (shift-left), and creating a strategic analysis of offshore resources. Tasked with building out the team and infrastructure for Realogy's next generation lead pipeline and broker toolset. Hired multiple engineers from mid-level to principle. Drove the implementation of highly scalable AWS architecture to support lead ingestion along with configuration based rules to connect agents with consumers. Developed multiple core APIs using GO to interface with not only our UI but also multiple teams spread across Realogy.

I was hired to bring the development team back on track and influence top team performance for driving forward key company initiatives. I led, coached, and mentored a team of 8 direct reports, and recruited, hired, and onboarded team members. I implemented changes to energize the team and raise their level of output, including training for engineers, and enhanced cross-functional teamwork and collaboration. My achievements include:❖ Increased the number of projects launched per month by 2x every 3 months. Broke tickets down into manageable amounts and reprioritized items based on mandatory vs. non-mandatory requirements.❖ Led team in planning and managing upgrade of product activation and domain registration projects with little to zero issues or problems. ❖ Instilled higher level of accountability and responsibility within the team, as well as improving team communications, interactions, and overall morale.

I was brought on board to assemble and lead team that could build out prototypes quickly for new products. I reported directly to the VP of Engineering and supervised team of 3-8 engineers, from intern to principal. I guided the team in architecting and maintaining integration with Twilio to provide multiple services to real estate agents, as well as managing legacy lead pipeline for customers to contact agents (including website form submission, sending SMS, push notifications, and others). Past successes:❖ Assembled top-performing team from scratch and unified efforts of team members who formed a tight, cohesive group that exceeded expectations.❖ Led team in building out large-scale applications around Twilio, with the architecture designed by the team enabling multiple new ideas and products to be built on top of the Twilio integration. ❖ Took over large legacy code base lead pipeline (some aspects 5 years old) for all of Zillow. Led its re-architecture into a much more scalable system with significant monitoring and alerting (heavily relied on queue and AWS to provide 100% uptime and replay ability.

I was recruited and hired to fix multiple issues within a brief time period, including velocity of work, procedures, and trust between management and team members. I was in charge of all day-to-day aspects of engineering, including architecture, process implementation, employee hiring and supervision, and client support, reporting directly to the CEO. I managed, coached, and mentored team of 15 engineers in the U.S., Mexico, and Romania. In addition, I interacted with large companies to provide work management systems along with crowdsourcing options, and managed relationships between client and product teams. I am proud to have:❖ Completely improved the morale of the engineering team. Implemented Agile/Scrum methodologies and brought the team velocity/performance up to acceptable and exceptional levels, respectively.❖ Worked jointly with the Product team to design and architect a new white label system that could be sold to other companies (including build-out of a new back-end system, front-end interface, and mobile apps).❖ Imparted significant accountability and knowledge on every engineer. Trained Senior Engineers on methods of management, including inspiring morale, velocity, and excitement through various techniques.

I was brought on board to manage front-end Property Search/Detail team on various initiatives, including rewrite of legacy code and integration of Rentals and Sold properties. I identified areas in which Trulia was lacking and offered services in those areas. Following work on Rentals and Sold properties, I completed code and mobile app projects, and subsequently moved to managing Trulia’s mortgage team that had been hampered by multiple issues. Notably, I:❖ Created the company’s first Android app. Built POC for Innovation Week project and received go-ahead from management for app that continues to be successful (4.5 rating in the Android store).❖ Integrated Rentals successfully into Trulia, working with multiple teams (IT, Data Science, Storage) to achieve high-quality results.❖ Drove full-scale turnaround for struggling Mortgage team; worked with Product to redo product offering into a multimillion-dollar annual generator.❖ Earned 5 nominations for Trulia Impact Award.

I founded and oversaw core elements of the company. I provided back-end coding, database architecture, and video data scraping among other functions, and implemented strategies to increase the company’s visibility in the community. Among my accomplishments:❖ Secured $3M in start-up funding to drive early growth, built import system with support for 80%+ of the videos on the web (along with extended support for 40 high-profile sites), and built MyTV widget to facilitate increased adoption of FFWD technology (basis of Twitmatic.com, a real-time search engine).

I maintained and built features for GameSpot, as well as constructing internal tools to help traverse all content of GameSpot, TV.com, and MP3.com. I managed partner API feeds used by various large companies such as Wal-Mart and Sony. Prior highlights:❖ Served as the creator, lead engineer, and technical contact for GameSpot Partner feeds that enabled GameSpot to increase revenue and audience totals (partners included Wal-Mart, Best Buy, AOL, Yahoo!, GameFly, EB Games, and Spike TV).❖ Created suite of tools for CNE Development team to increase productivity as well as streamline code standards and create a general CNE location for in-house tools.
