I managed a team of 12 mechanical engineering and machining professionals to develop all the required mechanical systems of our products. -I helped bring many high performing products to market and executed all steps in the design process from conceptualization and requirement gathering, to full design and review, through to release and production, while collaborating with the electrical and software engineering teams at each stage.-With constant review of my team’s design methodology, I developed guidelines and procedures resulting in efficient and effective design cycles with very high success rates. -I lead and contributed to the design of complex magnetic systems, multi control zone thermal systems, precision tuning and motion systems, magnetic and EMI/RFI shielding systems, as well as conventional mechanical systems such as product chassis, cosmetic and functional enclosures, electrical housings and mounts, and testing apparatus. I am a co-inventor on multiple patents relating to magnetic and mechanical assemblies.-I was responsible for the manufacturing of our mechanical parts both internally and externally, and built relationships with a wide variety of global manufacturers with best in class capabilities.

Northern Plastics Ltd is a manufacturing plant specializing in plastic applications for the Lumber, Agriculture, and Oil and Gas industries. My responsibilities were to provide assistance to the production manager with day to day tasks, as well as completing projects independently. I used my mechanical engineering knowledge to design parts, urethane mold assemblies, and extrusion dies on SolidWorks CAD software while providing engineering drawings for on site manufacturing. I operated various CNC machines as well as manual mills and lathes to assist the machine shop with part production. Some of my independent projects included machine modification as well as the development of new materials and products to be used in high performance applications.
