For over 16 years, I have been dedicated to creating safe environments for people and property in the field of fire and life safety. As a fire protection consultant, I focus on evaluating and implementing fire safety systems and strategies. I assess fire risks, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and recommend improvements to enhance safety. My work involves conducting detailed inspections, reviewing building plans, and providing expert guidance on fire prevention measures, emergency response planning, and safety regulations. My goal is to protect lives and property by ensuring that fire protection systems are effective and up to date.Before joining TERPconsulting, I worked as a safety specialist at Children's Hospital Colorado, where I was responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal fire and life safety codes for all licensed facilities.Prior to that, I spent five years with the State of Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, serving as a Fire Inspector III – Plans Examiner, Wildland Fire Investigator, and Plan Review Unit Chief. In those roles, I conducted federal surveys for healthcare facilities, performed fire and life safety code-related plan reviews, and carried out on-site inspections for both new and existing buildings.My journey into fire protection began with nine years of active-duty service as a military firefighter in the U.S. Air Force. In this foundational period, I excelled in roles such as firefighter, driver/operator, company fire officer, and fire prevention officer, where I developed critical skills in emergency response, team leadership, and fire prevention strategies.
