I oversaw daily project operations of New Mexico Tech's Title V, DHSI grant titled, "Advancing the Teaching and Training of Hispanic STEM Educators in New Mexico" (AT-THE-STEM-NM). The intent of the grant was to address the K12 teacher vacancy rate in New Mexico and to increase K12 achievement, specifically in STEM content areas. Some of my activities included:Maintaining and monitoring project plan, schedule, and annual budget ($500,000) Utilizing Asana to organize project milestones, assign tasks, establish deadlines, and monitor project status through project lifecycle of 30 course development projectsSupervising 4 professional staff members, providing strategic vision and leadershipDetermining and communicating scope of three renovation projects including cost estimation, vendor selection, budget monitoring, and assurance that deadlines were metMaintaining detailed and thorough project documentation including working hours, project plans and reports, and expenditures Overseeing project procurement management including software and technology selection and implementationCoordinating project activities for survey development/deployment, outreach events, and faculty training Creating standard operating procedures to reduce duplication of effortDefining repository structure, naming conventions, and maintaining organization of Google drive and Basecamp for collaborative document storage and maintenance

The Campus Dean role at Harrisburg Area Community College's (HACC) Lebanon campus allowed me to further my ability to shape campus culture to support student success. Specifically, I was able to use this unique role at HACC to reduce "cylinders of excellence" on the campus by creating more cross-functional opportunities between student affairs and academic affairs personnel. As the Regional Director of Academic Services, I was able to leverage my strengths in leadership, communication and data analysis to move academic services at two branch campuses of Pueblo Community College in closer alignment with the main campus.
