Colton is a pioneer in the art of planning and creating sustainable, machine-built trails for mountain bikers, hikers, runners and equestrians. He has belonged and learned under Timberline Landscaping since birth, as his father, the Owner of Timberline Landscaping, Tim Emick made it a dominant aspect in his life. At age 4 he began helping on the annual flower crew and continued to graduate up in his position as a Project manager for Trial craft at Timberline. After numerous successful trail projects Colton Emick and Timberline Landscaping have partnered with Tony Boone to create a new enterprise: Timberline TrailCraft. He put to use many years of ranch experience as foreman of the Native Mow crew to from 2008 to working on each and every Timberline trail project, including the famous Manitou Incline Renovation. He is a seasoned excavator operator, certified skid loader operator, and recently completed an internship with Tony Boone Trails and courses through the Professional Trail Builders Association.33 Trails completed on resume 4 as Project Manager 29 Trails as Lead Operator and Crew Leader. 1st day on an excavator was in 2012 on Mason Trail where I first stared to learn how to operate and get a feel for trails. Ever since than its became a beautiful art work and many hours on machines, hand tools, and hiking up and down that I have really acquired a taste for this Trail Building Career. I have Found myself in what I enjoy, I don’t work a day in my life anymore. Im out digging in the dirt and opening the outside world up for whoever is adventurous enough to come and take a look.
