I have worked for Congressman Arrington in several different capacities throughout my time at Texas Tech. I was on the campaign team working toward re-election. I worked on numerous projects including event and fundraiser planning, endorsement outreach, and the coordination of volunteer programs. This position has given me significant insight into political culture and showed me the importance of interpersonal and organizational skills.

After accepting this internship opportunity I was quickly thrown into the fast-paced culture of a political office. I handled different types of casework; I.e. correspondence with federal agencies on behalf of local constituents, project planning, and interpersonal communication with DC staff and the constituency. This position gave me the skills and relationships needed to transition to the unofficial office or campaign.

After being on-boarded at Prosperity Bank, I quickly learned the importance of precision and customer service. Banking requires a significant level of patience and care for customers. I performed a variety of transactions including deposits, withdraws, money transfers, and loan payments. Being a finance major, this gave me a look at real-world financial institutions and helped me to better grasp accounting and financial concepts.
