While attending The Citadel I am involved not only in the ROTC program but the Army Reserves, more specifically the 1189th Transportation Headquarters Unit in Charleston, SC. I primarily focus on logistics and the management of equipment while also shadowing senior officers and absorbing as much leadership skills and experience in the field as possible.

In the area manager intern role you are tasked to endure the culture, Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance. Each intern is given opportunity to implement a project to improve their area of operations. Collecting and analyzation of performance metrics to monitor progress and identify trends in operations while also supporting and learning from experienced Operations Managers in leading and motivating teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals.
