I studied mechanical engineering at University of the Pacific in Stockton California. I've worked for a civil service agency in engineering planning, and in the private sector of the HVAC industry as a technical sales engineer at DMG North Inc. in California. Now I work in the business development division at California Hydronics Corp (CHC).One of my recent accomplishments that I am most proud of was when the San Francisco ASPE Society won a gold medal in a novice dragon boat race, defeating teams like LinkedIn, Lucid Motors, Adobe, Visa, and Workday. I am told that the LinkedIn team still curses my name.At Central San, I worked on interdisciplinary teams alongside chemical and civil engineers on public facilities issues ranging from plant process function, plant process improvements, collection system inspection and documentation, risk analysis of catastrophic flooding of pumping stations, ecological impact surveys, and more. I attended multiple inter-agency industry collaborative meetings meant to organize responses to proposed Federal regulatory rules. At DMG we represented 40+ manufacturers. I was an HVAC equipment specialist and led the inside sales team at DMG North in navigating many unique projects, delegating work and providing guidance while nurturing individual growth. I provided design consulting and value engineering services to engineers, contractors, and owners. I recognize equipment and applications that provide opportunity to the contractor and value to the owner. I facilitated communication between our factories, the mechanical contractors, & engineering firms to ensure that projects run smoothly and stay on schedule. I strive for quality work that adds value to both my company and our clients. I continue to grow and pursue technical knowledge and professional training. In 2019 I quit my job to seize a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel around the world. 6 months into this amazing adventure, the covid pandemic stopped the world in it's tracks. I ended up spending 2 years in Asia before returning back to the states. I have completed a 26 week full stack JavaScript based bootcamp (NuCamp) and have supplemented this course by working through Harvard EdX's CS50 course's coverage of C++. In my free time I like to play music poorly for my own enjoyment. As poorly as I play music, I like to dance even worse. I enjoy reading sci-fi, staying up to date on world news, new technology, science, & all things relating to the progress of Elon Musk's companies. I like to go backpacking & exploring the natural beauty of California.
