Sales Brokerage Manager
Current• Promote and secure orders from existing and prospective customers and freight management companies. Develop clean and effective written proposals and quotations.• Evaluate and identify options for cost and time efficiency to meet customer expectations. Price individual loads as well as reoccurring lanes. • Selected to be part of a two-person team developing a new division of business in the area of LTL shipments.• Written and verbal reports daily to VP of Sales, VP of Operations, and VP of Human Resources on Owner Operator usage, head haul and back haul percentage, loads brokered, loads awarded, and total revenue.• Accept business development inquires from customer service team. Provide pricing and negotiate options to close the sale. • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with customers. Manage the resolution of customer complaints and issues.• Manage the Owner Operator division, including schedule, availability, compensation negotiations, and employee relations.• Consistently evaluate opportunities on load boards, including Landstar, Ryder, Sylectus, and others. Price and bid on head hauls and back hauls for a fleet of 170 vehicles. Work closely with brokers handling load tenders, carrier packets, and load information.• Post loads on brokerage board, negotiate prices and award shipments to the best carrier depending on timing, price, and reliability.
