With 4 years of experience, deep knowledge of design history and fundamentals, and an archive of hoarded design inspiration I take on any task with an open mind and a smile.I focus on Identity Design. More specifically, the trademark at the heart of the identity holds a special place in my heart. The challenge of designing a strong trademark represents the ultimate abstraction, which in my eyes, is the most powerful visual communication tool. Abstraction is so compelling because it generates the most easily recognizable, comprehensible, memorable, concept-driven, solutions. That means a lot in today’s overwhelming culture because the simpler a message can be conveyed, the more likely someone is to engage with it.I love working within the confines of a business goal but approaching the solution artistically. I care deeply about the fundamentals of art and design, prioritizing pushing the boundaries of design as an art form. In my work, I champion abstraction, experimentation, and functionality, exploring originality within simplicity. I hoard every bit of design inspiration I find. I collect books on graphic design. Most of my work is informed by graphic design history, whether directly referencing it or using the past to direct the future. I’m always working to expand not just the depth but the breadth of my visual knowledge and practice drawing from life, painting, and photography. I am deeply inspired by aerospace, it represents innovation, hard work, and excellence. I am inspired by motocross; as I grew up surrounded by the culture, and it has taught me to not just handle, but enjoy speed, obstacles, and pain. There’s nothing I love more than devoting myself to a job to get it done right.
