About Colton Wells
My passion for designing and building has always been a part of me. Once I started the Project Lead The Way pathway in high school, I knew engineering was what I wanted to do with my career. Knowing I wanted to build large-scale projects such as buildings, highways, etc., I decided to pursue a degree in civil engineering, allowing me to fulfill that dream.Over the past two years, I have gained numerous engineering skills through both education and real-world experience. I attend California Baptist University, majoring in civil engineering, where my classes and extracurriculars such as ASCE have increased my knowledge of engineering logic and functionality. During my summers, I have interned with Granite Construction as the Estimating and Field Engineering Intern. While at Granite, I have gained experience with project managers and engineers, learning how to meet hard deadlines, understand the full construction process of heavy civil engineering, and discover the financial side of engineering.As I continue to learn and gain more experience in the real world, I look forward to where my career in engineering will take me. I aspire to push engineering to its limits and see how far engineering can take us. The world of engineering will always have something new to teach me, bringing new challenges and begging for its limits to be exceeded. I am truly excited to see what engineering and I can do.
