Profile bio

About Ashley Combs

When I came to the University of Washington, I knew I was interested in engineering based off my love for STEM classes, but I was fairly undecided as to which path I wanted to take. Being a kinesthetic learner, my work with Husky Robotics and 3D printing provided the perfect learning opportunity towards deciding on a degree. This was where I found my niche, right alongside the mechanical teams. Throughout college, I helped design and fabricate several robotic chassis, a gantry system for a large scale 3D printer and a progressive cavity pump for the purposes of clay extrusion. Much of my time with these projects included design reviews and spending numerous hours in the Mechanical Engineering department's machine shop cutting, milling and lathing parts. Alongside these extra-curricular activities, my course work has further solidified my passion for mechanical engineering. Now that I have completed school and have started up in the engineering work force, I finally get to see all of my studies and hobbies culminate into the career I always hoped to have.

Listed skills include Machining, Solidworks, Microsoft Office, Leadership, and 28 others.
