My primary roles at LaunchDM were concentrated into managing all aspects of client and internal projects, from beginning to end. That general concentration evolved into something that seeped into all the nooks and crannies of what a small, primarily digital, shop does. In my case, new media production included strategy, project management, copywriting, proposal and contract writing, prospecting, PR, social media, award entering and whatever else might help drive our company forward. While at Launch, I was directly involved with clients such as VF, Smithsonian Institution, Sovereign Bank, salesforce.com and other brilliant brands on-the-rise.

GiggleWorks was an area's hope for an emerging interactive children’s museum housed in a chocolate warehouse. Poor timing, in relation to the economic downturn, made the dream seem unfeasible. The funds we raised ended up going to the Reading Public Museum, a board on which I now sit.

Hired to help start and run NoAdAgency.com, a company that would create all the collateral an auto dealership needed to run a sales event, package that collateral and sell it online. "You don't need no stinking ad agency" was the main tag. I coordinated development of the company's web site, invented canned sales event themes and associated suggestions that would help dealerships blow these themes out and worked directly with the car dealerships.

Worked as an account executive (salesman) for this telecom provider. I used some unconventional means to garner attention from prospective customers such as mailing a baseball to the Phila. Phillies IT head with a note reading, "Just hoping to throw you my sales pitch." This kind of stuff actually worked. Began to gain an interest in untested attention garnering tactics and technology and its effects on businesses.

Worked at Hampton’s, in Baltimore, during my culinary education and then some. 50-60 hours per week at work + 30 hours per week at school for 1.5 years = a professional cook.

Southeast regional sales manager for the last four of almost six years at Draka. I lived in Charlotte, NC and covered 10 states for the manufacturer. Called on electric utilities, auto manufacturing facilities, gas turbine manufacturers, transit authorities, steel mills and commercial engineering firms. Annual sales in my territory were $14 to $16 million.
