Supervisory Program Specialist
CurrentResponsible for supervising a minimum of 6 ratios of children/ youth in a School-Age Program or Youth Center IAW all applicable regulations and standards.-Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and the safety and well being of children and youth IAW DOD, Army, and local policies and standards.-Assists Director with requesting recruitment utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions.-Supervises and evaluates employees based on established performance standards as required.-Knowledge and skill in providing training for employees as required by CYSS and Army regulations.-Work in additional CYS facilities for the purpose of providing management oversight for evening and weekend openings such as acting Director of the Youth Center on a Saturday.-Ability to prepares work schedules to meet ration and group size requirements along with monitoring and analyses adult/participant ratio sheets to ensure proper staffing.-Ensures children/ youth are appropriately supervised at all times.-Ability to track child enrollment/ youth attendance to ensure maximum occupancy rate using prescribe staff/child Head count sheets.-Work with trainer and supervisor to plan, coordinate and implement activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of children and youth.- Participate in conferences with parents, programs staff, and school representatives.-Knowledge and skill in developing program budget along with managing assigned program areas to budget.-Ability to provide input for information paper and briefing upon request and prepare work orders when necessary.-Monitors food service program for assigned area ensuring compliance with all applicable Army and USDA food program policies and procedures to include proper meal components and portion sizes.-Performs health related practices as reasonable accommodations for children with special needs
