After worKing in sales in two different companies, I have gained several skills which are quite important for international trading.1.communication skills, which includes 3 parts 1 Listen 2think 3 speak (effective listening, empathy, reasonable expression: make each other feel comfortable according to different speakers and quickly understand your customers' preference in communicaton.)2.knowlege about products and the whole industry in that field.(very deep knowledge about each step,each raw material and the way the factroy runs, the cost of materials and the factory .In one word, almost everything and also know the business pattern of your client business including his competitiors his upstream and downstream relationships so that you could provide what he/she really needs.3.problem solving ability: trading has a complicated procedure and accidents happen from time to time, when it happens, the ability to solve problems stop complaining or blamming and solving any problems for you clients and providing emotional value for them. 4.basic knowledge:language skills and document manipulaiton capability are necessary.
