One heck of an experience! I chose not to run for a third term due to self imposed term limits. In my re-election term I received 74% of the votes...very proud to have that kind of report card from the folks I served! I gained extensive insight into county government, setting tax rates, adopting budgets, listening to the needs of constituents, working with State and National Legislators and MORE!Significant interaction with the Oil & Gas Industry. A portion of the Barnett Shale was located beneath Parker County. The Barnett Shale is where Horizonal Drilling and Hydraulic Fracturing gained popularity and changed the industry. The drilling of Oil & Gas wells (especially horizontal wells) had a effect on County infrastructure, impacted county government and a big portion of a County Commissioners job.

Managed a newly operational foreign national recruiting center which had tremendous demands in a high threat area. Led a staff of expat and Kenyan workers to hire Kenyans and East Africans to provide services on American bases in Afghanistan. Built relationships with Kenyan government officials and NGO representatives. Responsible for achieving production goals, meeting recruiting timelines and maintaining budget compliance. This was a short term contract position focused on stabilizing operations in a challenging environment.
