Technical Project ManagerAlcatel-Lucent & Network Uk Rail Team Apr 2010 - Aug 2014European BasedThis project concept was to build Network Rail FTN Infrastructure onto a number of network platforms for approximately 1800 sites prior to commissioning, in an agressive timeframe, with a highly flexible Offshore team and on a fixed cost basis. Technologies deployed include SDH, PDH, PSTN and SCADA onto Cramer OSS and associated TMN platforms. To do this Commscoach developed a highly complex scope of work involving multiple technologies/platforms/vendors using a range of knowledge management, knowledge sharing and collaboration techniques. In addition to platforms and technologies involved, the project comes under Network Rail Primary Contractor Licence-PCL and hence demands ultra high adherence to safety in work practice, circuit build and quality process.Commscoach approach has allowed for skills transfer programme to be rapidly yet accurately deployed to an offshore team making them able to commence site and circuit build to project timescales. By maintaining close involvement with the business process associated with the project Commscoach also offer an operational and strategic view of this and associated projects. This allows the skills within the Offshore team to be utilised in other areas of the network build on an 'as needed' basis benefiting both customer and supplier. The use of Knowledge Management and Sharing practices have proved to be the essential element in allowing a highly skilled team to be deployed efficiently with inherent cost benefits onto an ever broadening project scope. -
