I was a Trustee, Secretary and On Call Duty Officer. The team is formed of 4x4 owners who volunteer their time and use of their own personal vehicles to assist Britain's front line emergency services in adverse weather conditions We primarily support Surrey, South West London and South London.. Typically we would be called to help with:- transporting key medical/NHS/999 staff in Flood, icy and snowy road conditions- patient repatriation- assist with meals on wheels delivery- recover vehicles / ambulances when needed- gain emergency access to remote areas in adverse conditionsTeam was tested to its limits during the 2014 Surrey Floods and recognised by receiving the Local Hero’s 2014 Award for Voluntary Flood Rescue work.http://www.surrey4x4response.org/aboutus.html

• Playing a pivotal role in developing and implementing a Safer Schools Safety Strategy to safeguard young people • Receiving personal recognition through a national award through devising the ‘Wandsworth Youth Think Tank’ after the 2011 riots • Actively involved in the Safeguarding Serious Case Review Team work and maximising opportunities for the MPS volunteer programme • Utilising knowledge and expertise to create a youth triage workshop to deter young people from entering the criminal justice system • Taking a lead role in the gangs policy, ‘Home Office, Growing Against Gangs’ within the Wandsworth area • Managing the creation and presentation of a ‘Social Media Safety Awareness’ training course delivered to parents and teachers • Sourcing new funding streams, primarily from the Mayors Office and local businesses to fund carers respite

• Managing an array of anti social behaviour and crack house closures within the Borough and drafted ‘crack house closure protocol’ which secured an award from the Home Office • Overseeing all training provision for partners relating to anti social behaviour and contributing to the development of a working group to address homelessness in Waterloo • Delivering expert training to magistrates to equip them with the knowledge and skills to facilitate crack house closures • Formulating a strategy which was used by private housing groups to deal with anti social behaviour
