If you're passionate about something, you'll do anything in your power to find the means to get there, to break through any ceilings that may be your way.Most recently, I've been able to combine two things I love into one job - music and people. I've been a bartender at The Showbox in downtown Seattle for several years and have been fortunate to see a countless number of bands, along with a countless number of excited faces there to experience a show. But, while I love being there time and time again, I know that there is another passion that I want to pursue: Software Engineering.There's something deeply satisfying about bringing an idea to life, from concept to finished application. After taking Computer Engineering courses from North Seattle College, I pushed myself to learn Swift and create apps for personal use on my iPhone, from simple native apps to full stack projects that stored data using Google Firebase or consuming data from different APIs. What began as a hobby has become a career aspiration. After doing some research I decided to sign up for Springboard's Software Engineering Career Track.Over the past months I've acquired skills in several different technologies, from building traditional apps using Jinja and Python, to single page apps using React/Redux. On the backend I'm capable in Flask, Express and PostgreSQL.
