Part of a team, of five responsible for the enhancement and maintenance of the department's mainframe systems. Personally responsible for development of the on-line and batch processes, which included the technical design, development, and documentation of these processes. Reporting to IT Manager. Utilized FTP, ENTIREX, COBOL, NATURAL (Reporting and Structured mode), CONSTRUCT, SPoD, SAR, and PREDICT via the Rhumba emulator on IBM mainframe and z/OS operating system

Development and maintenance of corporate web sites using FrontPage. Responsible for design, development, testing, publishing, and hosting of client web sites.

Part of a team of seven. Technical design, development/maintenance, and implementation of the on-line and batch processes. Utilized FTP, ENTIREX, COBOL, NATURAL (Reporting and Structured mode), CONSTRUCT, CON-NECT, CON-FORM, SPoD, SAR, and PREDICT via Attachmate EXTRA emulator on IBM mainframe and z/OS operating system. Conducted performance monitoring, performance tuning, and quality assurance, on existing and new applications. Architected new database design and implemented improvements into existing database and application design. Documentation done using MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and Visio. Successfully integrated NATURAL CONSTRUCT functionality into the Consumer Affairs System (CAS) application transferring Application Independent Variables (AIV) and "COMMON" global data to a CONSTRUCT compatible Global Data Area (GDA). Restructured the Natural library configurations to provide an application dependent common library to accommodate cross-application reusable code and object oriented design. Designed and developed in-house tools for application programmers. Participated in the evaluation and testing of the Event Replicator. Assessed third-party products and packages. Designed and developed email functionality in the existing online on-demand reporting function within the Consumer Affairs System (CAS) whereby the reports are automatically sent to the recipient as an attachment. Designed and developed online real-time interface via the Online Professional Licensing System (OLPL) with a Java presentation layer, EntireX, and Natural objects reading and updating both ADABAS on the mainframe and ORACLE on a UNIX server. Assisted in mentoring staff members. Developed, coordinated, and participated in PowerPoint presentations.

Successfully completed the award-winning multi-million dollar Service Credit Buyback Account (SCBA) project. Part of a team of nine responsible for the Active Member systems. Personally responsible for technical design, development/maintenance, and implementation of the on-line and batch processes. Improved efficiency by conducting performance monitoring and quality assurance. Followed SLDC, facilitated JAD sessions, and produced documentation per IEEE standards using MS Office and Visio. Utilized CalPERS VSAM DB routines. Personally responsible for the support of these applications during the Y2K system and integration testing process. Personally responsible for the revamp of the CalPERS service Credit Buyback Account System. Morphed and manipulated the database design to change the application functionality and performance. Utilized NATURAL (Reporting and Structured mode), CONSTRUCT, PREDICT, ADABAS, and VSAM. Development on Benefit Equity System (BES) and on interfaces with SCBA. Personally responsible for the design and development of in-house tools for application programmers, including Y2K utilities. Development and maintenance included use of SAR, AFP, IBM Utilities, COMPAREX, File Aid, CICS, JES3 JCL, ISPF, TSO, and EJES. Assessing third-party products and packages. Reported directly to Project Managers.

Personally responsible for technical design, development/maintenance, and implementation of the on-line and batch processes. Assisted in the support of the tax reporting process in RIBS. Simultaneously involved in technical training, technical support, and application development. i) Personally responsible for providing in-house training for technical staff in NATURAL CONSTRUCT and CONFORM. Reporting to Development Manager. ii) Part of a team of four, responsible for design, development, and implementation of technical tool set. Reporting to Team Leader and Development Manager. iii) Part of a team of five, responsible for new Commercial Policy System. Personally responsible for development and implementation of on-line and batch processes which included the technical design and development of these processes. Reporting to Team Leader. Personally responsible to investigate and develop access to CONFORM editor via on-line NATURAL programs.

Leading a team of four, responsible for the new Electricity and Water Consumption Disconnection's System. Personally took project through entire development cycle, involved in all phases including technical development and support using IDEAL/DATACOM and ROSCOE. Personally maintained extensive interaction with User and Information Technology departments and Department Heads. Reporting to Project Manager. Personally responsible for Quality Assurance for this system and other related systems. Personally introduced new technology including the development of mainframe graphical display of management information to eliminate hard copy reporting. Personally coordinated the simultaneous implementation with new Electricity System due to interdependencies.

Part of a team of twenty, responsible for the development of the Consolidated Billing System. Personally responsible for the development of processes within the various projects sub-systems. Developed processes for Financial, Cross-Reference, Utility, Service, and Migration systems. Reporting to Project Leader. Personally developed and implemented small system to create test pack data for the Consolidated Billing System whilst leading a team of two, including five seconded programmers. Provided technical support to team members. Involved in fine-tuning of batch systems and in inserting necessary security and control processes. Developing in IDEAL/DATACOM. Used ROSCOE extensively.

i) Part of a team of four, responsible for the migration of all data from obsolete ICL mainframe database to the new IBM database. Reporting to Team Leader. Responsible to provide audit reports and strict controls to ensure all existing information was accounted for and manipulated without diminishing the integrity of the data. ii) Leading a team of three, responsible for the development of the Property Maintenance System, a system developed to maintain unique address data used as linking point for service information. Reporting to Project Manager. Personally responsible for the entire system development cycle. Developed using IDEAL/DATACOM, and using ROSCOE for batch system. Utilized DATACOM Utilities extensively.

Responsible for job scheduling. Reporting to Facilities Manager. Personally responsible to develop JCL job-streams and to ensure that all requirements and requests were completed.

Leading a team of three, responsible for enhancements, maintenance and the conversion of the Integrated Accounting System. Reporting to Project Manager. Developing done using NATURAL, NATURAL II (Reporting mode), and ADABAS. TSO used extensively for batch. Involved in the conversion of the system from NATURAL to NATURAL II. Worked in conjunction with Persetel with the development of system using the "POD" (Persetel Optical Disk) to replace cartridge data storage and to provide on-line inquiry access to historical data.

Part of a team of six with personal responsibility to develop and implement the Archiving System. Reporting to Team Leader. Developing using NATURAL and COBOL (with ADABAS calls) and processing data on 3480 cartridges. Using TSO for batch environment. Personally responsible for entire development cycle. Also personally, and single-handedly, produced a fault reporting system, with management reporting, and a program control system.
