As part of the Climate Action UK team, we are tasked with targeting audience engagement. We are responsible for contacting high profile clients from all over the world, with our goal being to create meaningful connections, whilst inviting guests to globally recognised events such as COP, Sustainable Investment Forum North America/Europe & London Innovation Forum within London Climate Action.

My role at Lisboeta started off as a Head Waiter/Supervisor role (Oct-Jan). A role was then created for me with responsibilities in transitioning the restaurant to a more efficiency, waste & consumption conscious company. I have helped the company remove multiple single use products, trained the staff in reducing waste without compromising the guest experience, and worked with the kitchen to change suppliers; supply chain now over 50% UK based with meat and fish suppliers being drastically increased in quality and responsibility.

During my internship, I worked with the leadership and learning team and then the nature-based solutions and climate resilience team. This role taught me how to develop training programs and workshops, enhancing my skills in educational outreach. I also researched integrating natural elements in urban planning and analysed strategies to enhance buildings' climate adaptability.I improved my communication and collaboration skills and recognised the need to enhance my technical skills in environmental modeling. Specialising in sustainable built environments, I bring a unique perspective on integrating sustainability into urban development. I look forward to applying my expertise to create resilient, nature-based urban environments and drive innovative sustainability solutions.

During my internship at Sapling Spirit UK, I contributed to the B Corp certification impact report in 2024. This experience taught me: Data Analysis: Gathering and interpreting sustainability metrics. Project Management: Coordinating across teams. CSR: Implementing B Corp standards. Research: Best practices in sustainability reporting.I grew in communication and teamwork, enjoyed seeing the impact of sustainable business practices, and am now passionate about driving sustainability initiatives. I look forward to using my skills to make a positive impact in corporate sustainability.
