I am a recent MSc graduate in Software Development from Queen’s University Belfast, achieving a distinction in my dissertation project that focused on developing a machine learning web application for healthcare.I have experience in data manipulation and analysis, using a broad range of tools and programming languages including Python, Java, PHP and JavaScript. These languages are complemented with experience in database management, with a particular strength in MySQL.A key highlight is my dissertation project where I developed a machine learning diagnostic tool that uses DNA methylation data with over 450,000 features. The application that I developed uses the unsupervised methods of NMF and k-means clustering to reduce the dimensionality of the data and to group each sample into one of seven sub-groups of Medulloblastoma. I then developed a SVM ML model using scikit-learn while using Flask to push the application to a web server.
