For the 23/24 academic year I am undertaking the MA in International Security & Conflict Studies in DCU. I have recently completed the BA in Social Sciences & Cultural Innovation in Dublin City University. I achieved a 2:1 (Second class honours). This degree has allowed me to pursue my particular interests in politics, sociology, current and international affairs. Fluency in Irish and a deep appreciation of Irish history and culture are a great addition to my skillset. In year two of my degree I participated in the Changemakers module which was a mentoring programme in collaboration with YouthReach and BITE in Ballymun. This module allowed my fellow students and I to engage with DCU's local community through contributing to and facilitating workshops for the students in attendance. I intend to further my academic studies through a masters programme in the fields of politics, foreign policy and/or international affairs. The masters programmes I am interested in represent the fields of employment I am aspiring to pursue.I am a dedicated and loyal member of my local GAA club, Fingallians, in Swords where I am on the senior hurling team. From this extra-curricular activity my team work, communication and leadership skills have developed accordingly over the years. Over the years I have contributed to my club through the coaching of underage teams on a voluntary basis. It is important to me to be fit, healthy and active. I was also a member of the Louth senior hurling team for 2023. This requires a lot of dedication and is something I was very proud to be a part of.
