My roles included:• Organising operatives, plant and materials and supervising all ongoing works. • Decipher from drawings any construction related issues or queries which I, an operative or subcontractor may have. • Developing programs of work. • Developing a topographical survey of sites to be handed over for commencement of ground works.• Compiling and producing health and safety site documentation.• Preparing drawings and specifications during work planning phases along with a ROFI registers.• Setting out of roads, foundations, bolts, drainage, slabs, pavements, retaining walls, lift shafts etc.• Overseeing quality assurance activities for all work completed by documenting all levels, measurements, grid locations etc.• Produce new design proposals to principal contractors and carry out new works were design flaws are encountered.• Producing quality assurance and ‘as built’ documentation for principal contractor for sign off and hand over.• Liaising with principal contractors over construction and contractual issues and giving guidance on work being carried out.
