I am responsible for mail receiving and machine processing. I also receive UPS/FedEx letters and packages for sorting prior to delivering to 12 floors. I process UPS letters and packages nationally/internationally. I am responsible for refilling postage on Pitney Bowes Connect +. I also research prior UPS/FedEx deliveries for various departments.

This job required mail running to back area for incoming mail. I pulled mail unto scale and delivered to mail processing area. I took mail to four OCR machines. I ran mail processing machines (OCR,DBS,DDBS) that sent 500 letters a minute to over 200 bins. I hand sorted mail in stand up and sit down cases. Ran NC directs. This one man job entailed mail pickups from various departments and sorting/stacking in outgoing mail postcons. This job was a mail handler position.

I trained people in 5 different departments in carding. The machines were drawing, cards and slubber. The training period varied as to the learning curve of the trainee. Trainees were taught safety and company standards to make first rate cotton fiber. I also gave tours of the entire plant to cotton growers or any group that wanted to see the world's largest textile plant from start to finish. I also did fill in supervisor work. While there I went to Cone's Supervisor School. I was offered the Training Department Management position in the Salisbury Plant.
