About Conan Burke

I am currently working as engineering manager in Micro Bio Ireland. I am responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of safety and innovation. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the plant operations. Ensure all engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards such as ISO and cGMP. Manage engineering resources effectively to support plant operations and project demands. Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and regulatory affairs to achieve operational goals. Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring financial discipline and accountability. During and since completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering I have been working in engineering roles in England, Ireland, Australia and America. This experience has been invaluable in putting into practice some of the educational theory I learned in my degree. When working as a reliability engineer with Eli Lilly I learned how to coordinate with the Quality and EHS functions as well as engineering and production personal when carrying out a Root Cause Analysis, FMEA’S, engineering inspections and in producing and updating Site Operating Procedures. Working in the pharmaceutical sector in a COMAH registered site has given the chance to learn and work to high Quality and regulatory standards.
