Led requirements gathering, data analysis, and data validation on data modernization project moving from an on-prem Microsoft SQL Server environments into a modern cohesive data warehouse hosted in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery. This included gathering requirements on which data points stakeholders would need in the platform, identifying their current sources of data, and evaluating data integrity. Software engineering used requirements to connected systems using Kafka streaming to provide decoupled updates to operational systems and a data warehouse for reporting. Supported validation of data warehouse data compared to legacy data and built dashboards for data health monitoring. Integrated systems included warehouse management system, storefront catalog, inventory systems, and ERP process. Estimated cost savings of $28 million from decrease in inventories, increase transportation utilization, and improve inventory forward positioning.

Standardized data definitions across teams within the supply chain for 8 data points required for end-to-end use in the logistics network. Started by interviewing stakeholder teams and determining if they had access to data points in their current process, documenting their data source, and evaluated for accuracy. Worked with teams to gain consensus on a single definition and source for each point. This information was then published and shared across teams for use in their processes. In addition, developed and conducted training sessions focusing on Intro to Data Analytics, SQL, and Python to ensure stakeholders were comfortable accessing data and all following best-practices across teams. These standardized processes and best practices created $4 million in annual savings.
