National not-for-profit, public charity, and educational organization for development and administration of accredited middle school (grades 7-8), high school (grades 11-12), and college/university curriculum as an in-school entrepreneurship and global business education program to prepare students for college and career success through workplace simulation.Students create and manage every aspect of virtual/practice business firms and are transformed into young professionals and budding entrepreneurs. The inter-disciplinary curriculum encompasses every aspect of the development and operation of unique business firms/models (either or both product-oriented models and/or service-oriented firms), so that the simulation effectively approximates a real-world business operational experience. The students may develop B2B and/or B2C entrepreneurial models. The hundreds of student-run virtual firms operated in the USA and the thousands of student-run virtual firms operated globally offer each class enormous opportunities to sell to, service, and otherwise interact with a full gamut of other student-run business firms.VEI recruits over 100 professional corporations and over 2,000 volunteer business professionals to provide hands-on mentoring, internships, project/task assessment, and numerous other personal connections between students and business professionals to broaden students' horizons regarding the possibilities in business careers. Annually, VEI organizes and administers many local, state, regional, national and international trade shows and educational competitions including the annual Youth Business Summit each April at NYC's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.In my current volunteer position, I seek to recruit Catholic private schools, other private religious schools, and non-denominational private schools to join the VEI program. In addition, I seek grants, donations, and in-kind gifts of goods and services to enable/assist school recruitment efforts.

In 2010, former Chancellor Joel I. Klein approved my work with a Lawyers Alliance for New York volunteer attorney, Anita Pelletiere, Esq. (senior partner with the law firm of Nixon Peabody, Rochester, NY), to incorporate VEI as a separate, not-for-profit corporation affiliated with the New York City School District. Thereafter, I served as both in-house legal counsel until my retirement in February 2017 from the NYC School District and as volunteer Recording Secretary from 2010 until my retirement from that position in July 2022.

Since 1876, SRNY has sought members among descendants of patriots of the American Revolution. Since 1907, SRNY has operated Fraunces Tavern Museum in Manhattan to educate the public and school children about the history and art of the American Revolution in general and the Colonial and Early American periods in New York City. The museum has changing and permanent exhibits and hosts numerous historical lectures and events presented by distinguished lecturers and staff.
