When I first discovered how financial data could tell a business's performance and how well its resources were managed by its stewards, I was ecstatic. This enthusiasm motivated me to complete my first degree in accounting and then sit and qualify for my ACCA designation.After graduation, I went on to provide audit and accounting advisory services to a wide range of companies in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors; energy and natural resources sectors; and consumer and industrial markets.I am experienced in leading teams to transform and standardize large and complex accounting processes by developing accounting procedures and SOPs that cut down accounting process time by 45%.In addition, I have led the automation of clients' tax systems resulting in 100% compliance with their Value Added Taxes and Pay as You Earn Taxes.I have carried out periodic and month-end closures in line with the International Financial Reporting Standard and analyzed clients’ Opex and Capex which resulted in a 25% year-on-year increase in profitability and improved investor confidence.I am passionate about lifelong learning, finding sustainable and inventive solutions to everyday challenges, and excelling at whatever I set my mind to. The desire for excellence cuts across every sphere of my life resulting in me ranking first in Ghana for my ACCA Strategic Business Reporting and Strategic Business Leader papers, as well as ranking in the top 0.2% and 0.3% globally for the respective papers.When not working, I am either mentoring the young ones in my local church or volunteering on a blood donation drive to save lives.The potential use of data to identify fraud patterns and provide safeguards against future occurrences is something that greatly interests me.Much later in my career, I hope to have a C-Suite position, and I am open to opportunities and mentorship to help me prepare for this.
