Worked on Wnt signaling pathway in Dr. Li's lab:1. Established a CRISPR-Cas9-mediated gene editing system in mouse haploid embryonic stem cells (haES cells) in Dr. Li's lab. This system will help us to achieve knockin, knockout, or point mutations at the genetic level easily and is useful for investigating the function of molecules we are interested in. Meanwhile, haES cells are more efficient for the generation of the genetically modified mice;2. Continued investigating the function of the nuclear complex in regulating Wnt signaling transduction;3. Trained 2 graduate students.

1. Investigated the characteristic of Smurf1-mediated Axin ubiquitination, and demonstrated it as a cell-cycle regulated affair which exerts function in Wnt signaling pathway;2. Investigated the function of a nuclear complex in regulating Wnt signaling transduction. This work will help to better understand Wnt signaling pathway at the transcriptional level and provide new insights into the therapy of Wnt-related diseases;3. Trained 2 graduate students.
