Assigned to work at the Centre for Frontier Energy Technologies and Utilisations (civil engineer). Performed laboratory and in-situ thermal performance tests for various building materials and complete houses. Created drawings and sketches using CAD; Analysed thermal performance of building materials and houses using various methods (e.g. mathematical modelling, numerical simulation and statistical analysis); Created Macros in Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to automate tasks. Wrote academic papers and reports. Supervised 6 students in their final year project.

Collaborated within the Reinforced-Soil Retaining Wall Team in the Hunter Expressway project (value of $795M); Assisted site engineers in construction inspections following the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs); Inspected the delivery of concrete panels; Created construction progress schedules and diagrams; Calculated construction materials quantities and costs; Assisted in the quality assurance (QA) document control.
