I am Connie Lam. I studied in Brigham Young University-Hawaii and majoring in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Education. I am from Macao, China. I love studying in BYU-Hawaii where people are from all over the world. The multicultural environment provides me a huge opportunity to learn from others and open my eyes when I work and study with others. I am now working in a hotel in Macao -- The Parisian, which belongs to Sands China, as a housekeeping supervisor. Changing the professional field has enlarged my mind and I have learned so much in management and operation as a team.In 2018, I was trained as a Room Attendant and learnt the skills of cleaning a guest room, a foundation knowledge of being a housekeeper. Then I became a floor supervisor and a trainer in the department.In 2019, I gained a certificate of Hotel and Cartering Occupitional Health and Safety. I participated in different events in the company such as International Housekeeping Week, Star of Month, and ISO 45001 team committee. In 2022, I gained a certificate of Room Attendant exam in Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System and I am currently taking the class of Train the Trainer exam in Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System.At the same year, I participated in a social competition--4th Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprises Vocational Skills Competition 2022, as a representative of the Housekeeping Department of Sands China. As the team leader, I am very proud to say that we won the Gold Medal.
